Multiple Submissions Issue Statement
In order to maintain the reputation of Petroleum Reservoir Evaluation and Development, the rights and interests of readers, the handling of the issue of manuscript multiple submissions is hereby stated as follows:
1. If a manuscript submitted to our journal has been reviewed by reviewers, or our editorial board and editorial office, or it is found that the manuscript has already been published in other journals, or has been reviewed by the reviewers for other journals, we shall recognize the manuscript as a multiple submission, even though there are some slight differences in the main data, graphs, title and the text.
2. Manuscripts that have been published in full text in other language journals will also be recognized as multiple submissions.
3. If the manuscript has been submitted to us and the authors have not received any notification of return or revision after 3 months from the date of the acknowledgement of receipt of the manuscript, it means that the manuscript is still being processed. Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to other journals should contact our editorial office and explain their reasons in advance. If the author did not contact us but changed to other journals and published, we will also regard the manuscript as a multiple submission.
4. If our editorial office believes that an author is suspected of having multiple submissions, in addition to collecting relevant information and verifying it carefully, we will ask the author to give an explanation before making a decision on the handling of this issue, and the author may appeal if he/she has any dispute with our decision on the handling of it.
5. If multiple submissions are proved, we will publish the author's organization and name as well as a notice of withdrawal of the manuscript in a period of time, and inform the author's organization of this incident. The first author of the manuscript will be refused to publish all his/her manuscripts in our journal within 3 years.
