    • Investigation on risk of induced earthquakes for CO2 geological storage in X block, Xihu Sag, East China Sea

    • In the context of the "dual carbon" target, geological storage of CO2 in marine areas is an important development direction for CCUS technology. The East China Sea continental shelf basin, as a suitable area, lacks research on seismic hazard assessment. This study is based on Dietrich's velocity state friction law to explore the risk of CO2 injection induced earthquakes in Block X of the Xihu Depression in the East China Sea, providing theoretical support for the safety of CCUS projects.
